WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - ARIZONA STATE senior forward Carrick Felix has been named the Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Dec. 31- Jan. 6, the Conference announced Monday.
The Goodyear, Ariz., native tallied his fourth 20-point game this season in a 65-56 win over COLORADO on Sunday. He also grabbed eight rebounds and two blocks on the night. Earlier in the week Felix was instrumental in the 55-54 overtime win over UTAH to kick off conference play on Wednesday. He tallied a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds on the night.
Over the past 12 games, the Sun Devil senior is averaging 16.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, has 20 blocks and is shooting 57 percent from the field. Felix has nine 20-point games in his career and four this year. ASU improved its home record to 10-1 this weekend, just one year after going 7-10 on their home court.
