Bowl action continues this week as Washington takes on No. 19 Boise State in the MAACO Bowl Las Vegas. Last week, Arizona won its first bowl game since the 2008 MAACO Bowl Las Vegas in dramatic fashion, overcoming a 48-35 deficit in the final 1:48 behind a pair of Matt Scott TD passes. Scott completed 28-of-47 passes for 382 yards and tossed three touchdowns en route to collecting offensive MVP honors. Ka'Deem Carey, the nation's leading rusher, picked up a game-high 172 yards and three touchdowns on the ground, both Arizona bowl records. Wide receiver Austin Hill, who caught eight passes, established a new school bowl record with 175 receiving yards and tied Arizona's mark for receiving touchdowns in a bowl game (2).

WASHINGTON: The Huskies are making their first appearance in the MAACO Bowl Las Vegas... Sophomore TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins set school career marks for receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns by a tight end with 104 receptions and 1,327 yards and 12 TDs. Additionally, Seferian-Jenkins’ 63 receptions and 791 yards this year are a school record for the position... Sophomore WR Kasen Williams posted 71 receptions this season, fifth best single-season mark in school history... Sophomore TB Bishop Sankey notched the UW’s fourth straight 1,000-yard season. Sankey is the 11th different Husky to rush for 1,000 yards and his 1,234 yards are ninth-most in UW single-season history... Thanks in part to All-Pac-12 senior DB Desmond Trufant, the Huskies currently rank No.16 in the nation (second in the Pac-12) in pass defense with just 188.9 yards allowed per game... The Huskies will meet Boise State again in just over eight months as they open the 2013 season with the Broncos in renovated Husky Stadium on Aug. 31, 2013.
