Arizona's Tra'Mayne Bondurant comes up with wild pick

Sep 20, 2014

Trailing by 15 early in the fourth quarter, the Arizona defense needed to make a play, and senior safety Tra'Mayne Bondurant came through in a big way on a game featured on Pac-12 Networks. Cal quarterback Jared Goff's pass nearly hit the ground but deflected up in the air, right into Bondurant's hands for one of the crazier interceptions you will see.

The Wildcats scored two plays later to pull within 31-23. There were nearly 15 minutes left and there would be a lot more scoring left, but the fluke play helped Arizona keep within reach of the Golden Bears.

It led to the even more unlikely Hail Mary completion that the Wildcats needed to steal a 49-45 win.
