Oregon in at No. 19 in Women's Basketball Journal Poll

RALEIGH, N.C. - The Women's Basketball Journal ranked the University of Oregon at No. 19 in its preseason poll.
The publication selected defending NCAA champion Connecticut No. 1, followed by Tennessee, Georgia, Notre Dame and Duke. Stanford, in at No. 18, and USC, No. 24, are the only other Pac-10 teams represented.
Earlier in the week, Street & Smith's ranked the Ducks at No. 22.
Oregon won its second straight Pac-10 championship last season after going 14-4 in the conference. The Ducks, who return 10 letterwinners and three starters, finished 23-8 a year ago after losing in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
The Ducks begin practice Saturday at McArthur Court.
