Thibodeau Hired As Women's Tennis Assistant

TUCSON, Ariz. - University of Arizona women's tennis head coach Brad Dancerannounced the hiring of Simone Thibodeau as assistant head coach Thursday.

A native of Montreal, Canada, Thibodeau is a graduate of the University ofShorebrooke with a degree in sports science. For the past three years, hehas served on the coaching staff of the Canadian junior national team. Hisduties included coaching Canada's elite junior players in WTA events.

Thibodeau was one of the top players on the Canadian junior tennis circuit,earning top-10 rankings throughout his career.

'Simone brings a wealth of international experience to the U of A program,'Dancer said. 'His educational background in sports science is evidence ofhis commitment and a passion for teaching.'

Thibodeau replaces Kevin Epley who was hired as head coach at Fresno State.
