Cal Men's Golf Ties for 6th at Fresno State Tourney

FRESNO - The Cal men's golf team closed out its fall schedule by tying for sixth place at the Fresno Lexus Classic Saturday.

The Bears shot a 54-hole total of 876 to tie Hawaii for sixth. Stanford won the 17-team tournament at 851, nine shots better than San Diego State.

Individually, senior Dong Yi was Cal's top finisher, tying for 12th at 1-over-par 217. Freshman Peter Tomasulo tied for 25th at 220, while sophomore J.R. Ruda tied for 28th at 224.

Stanford's Philip Rowe captured individual honors at 8-under 208, while Toledo's Kevin Kornowa was second in 211.
