Socer Upset By Washington State, 1-0

TEMPE, Ariz. -- The 18th-ranked Arizona State women's soccer team (11-3, 2-2 Pac-10) were upset by Washington State (10-4, 2-2 Pac-10) by a 1-0 score this afternoon at Sun Devil Soccer Stadium.

The game-winning goal came in the 66th minute by WSU's Jessica Allen with an assist from Katrina Stroh. Allen drilled the ball from 15 yards out from the top right of the box into the upper right corner of the net pass the diving ASU goalkeeper.

The Sun Devils loss three starters due to injury, including junior All-American Stacey Tullock, who is still battling the flu and did not play.

Arizona State posted 12 shots to Washington State's nine, while each team recorded five corner kicks. ASU's Jaclyn Clark recorded six shots -- all on goal. ASU goalkeeper Erin Reinke made four saves, two in each half. WSU's goalkeeper Lindsey Jorgensen posted eight saves, six coming the second half.

Arizona State will next head back on the road to take on California on Friday, October 20 at 3:00 p.m.
