Kalvaria And Lastra Advance To Doubles Finals

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. - Stanford's Lauren Kalvaria (Indialantic, FL) and Gabriela Lastra (Reno, NV) advanced to the doubles finals of the Riviera All-American Women's Tennis Championships after a come-from-behind win Saturday night at the Riviera Tennis Club. The team will play Pepperdine's top-seeded Paola Palencia and Ipek Senoglu in the finals on Sunday.
Kalvaria and Lastra fell behind early in the semifinal match against Vladka Ulhirova and Janet Walker of Texas. After dropping the first set 7-5, the Cardinal came back to win the next two by scores of 6-3, 6-3.
The team reached the semifinals with a first round win over Oklahoma State's Ashleigh Dolman and Maria Galoustova and a quarterfinal win over Duke's Amanda Johnson and Megan Miller.
