UCLA's Rettenmaier Impressive At Southern California Tennis Tournament

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - UCLA sophomore Travis Rettenmaier will compete in the quarterfinal round of the Southern California Tournament this afternoon against Pepperdine's Stefan Suter. Rettenmair advance to the round of 16 by defeating fellow teammate Freshman Tobias Clemens, 7-5, 3-4 Ret., while Suter reached the quarterfinals by defeating the tournament's number three seed, UCLA sophomore Jean-Julian Rojer 7-5, 6-2.
The number one seed, UCLA's senior Jean-Noel Grinda withdrew due to injury in the round of 16.
Doubles play will begin today with four teams representing the Bruins. The double teams are as follows: Efran Djahangiri/Travis Rettenmaier, Tobias Clemens/Lassi Ketola, Derrick Nguyn/Chris Sands and Jean-Noel Grinda/Jean-Julien Rojer
The semifinals for singles and doubles competition will continue Saturday and the finals will be held on Sunday.
