CALIFORNIA will host the California adidas-Legacy Classic this week, which will highlight No. 1 San Jose State, No. 3 Indiana and No. 5 STANFORD... The Cardinal are currently ranked No. 5/No. 1 and WASHINGTON No. 25/No. 16 in the NSCAA and Soccer America polls, respectively... UCLA is ranked No. 13 in Soccer America this week... STANFORD'S No. 1 ranking in Soccer America marks the second Pac-10 team this season to be ranked in the top spot in a national poll (UCLA 9/4 - 10/8, NSCAA, 9/11 - 10/8, Soccer America).

Pac-10 Player of the Week
Stanford midfielder Scott Leber has been named the Pac-10 Men's Soccer Player of the Week for October 24-30, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
Leber, a senior from Tucson, Ariz., scored two goals in Stanford's 3-0 victory over Cal. Leber now has a team-best and career-high 11 goals, ranking him second in the Conference in total goals.
This is the first weekly honor for Leber and Stanford second Player of the Week honor all-time.
ALSO NOMINATED: Shaun Tsakiris, UCLA.
CALIFORNIA: After getting off to a 2-9-1 start, the Bears are 3-1, and are currently in sole possession of third place in the Conference... Freshman goalie Brian Walker recorded his third shutout of the year against OSU (Oct. 27).
OREGON STATE: Freshman goalkeeper Peter Billmeyer has a shot at recording the best goals-against average in OSU history. As of Oct. 30, he had a 1.37 GAA, and had played in 12 of OSU's 17 games. Billmeyer stood even with Jon Edmonston's 1991 mark of 1.03 last week, before falling back last week.
STANFORD: With the Cardinal shutting out Cal (Oct. 29), Stanford has not given up a goal to the Bears since 1997... Senior midfielder Scott Leber scored two goals against Cal, including his second game-winner of the season.
UCLA: The Bruins snapped a four-game losing streak on Oct. 28 by defeating Portland in the Pacific Soccer Challenge... During the week, Senior midfielder Shaun Tsakiris scored the game-winning goal on a penalty kick in the victory over Portland and added two assists in the loss at CS Fullerton.
WASHINGTON: The Huskies knocked off Gonzaga (Oct. 27), the WCC leader and winner of five straight... UW's loss to Portland marked the first time the Huskies have lost while scoring in a game... Washington closes the regular season against three Pac-10 teams.

The 2000 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship Bracket will be announced during a selection show that will air Monday, Novmber 13, from 3:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. ET from Indianapolis, Ind.
