Men's Golf To Co-Host The Prestige With UC Davis

PALM DESERT, Calif. - The Stanford men's golf team is co-hosting The Prestige at Palm Desert with UC Davis beginning Monday, Nov. 6. The two-day inaugural tournament will be played at the Desert Willow-Firecliff Golf Course (Par 72 - 7,056 yards).
The first and second rounds will be played on Monday and the final round is scheduled for Tuesday. The 15-team tournament features Northwestern (ranked No. 8 in the latest Golfweek/Sagarin ratings), Washington (No. 29), Oregon (No. 34), UCLA (No. 36), Pepperdine (No. 40), Vanderbilt (No. 49) and Colorado (No. 54). Stanford checked in as the No. 32 team in the rankings. Washington and Colorado both competed in the Nelson Invitational last weekend at the Stanford Golf Course. The Huskies (third place) finished one stroke ahead of the Cardinal (fifth place) while Colorado came in at 10th.
Individually at the Nelson, Stanford sophomore Jim Seki (Honolulu, HI) and senior Eric Dahlberg (Fort Worth, TX) tied for eighth with 215s (two-over par). Junior Philip Rowe (Cornwall, UK) and senior Jimmy Lee (Coral Springs, FL) both placed 40th while senior Alex Aragon (San Diego, CA) was 48th.
