Dodd in Second Place at Edwin Watts Intercollegiate

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. --- Washington State senior Jennifer Dodd tied a season-best by shooting a 74 and is four strokes off the leader at the Edwin Watts/Palmetto Intercollegiate.
The Cougars are third-place overall, trailing Southern Methodist by 10 strokes and University of North Carolina-Wilmington by two shots.
Dodd also shot a 37 on the front nine of the second round, giving her a 111 for the day. The Portland, Ore., native is in second place with 36 holes left to play on Tuesday. Dodd will be chasing Julie Crooks of Southern Methodist, who carded a 107, for the individual medal.
Junior Tasha Browner bolstered WSU's team score with her 36-hole 117. Browner started off slow with a first-round 82, but torched the first nine holes of the second round with a 35.
The tournament is being played at the par-72 Oak Point Golf Course. Play begins tomorrow at 8 a.m.
