The Huskies rushed for 349 yards, the most by a Pac-10 team this season, had 460 yards total offense and were successful on 8-of-15 third-down conversion attempts. Wire had a team-high 10 tackles, seven unassisted, including four tackles for loss (-21), three of which were quarterback sacks (-21), and two deflected passes. The Stanford defense limited Arizona State to 14 first downs, 23 yards rushing on 34 attempts, 174 yards total offense, stopped three fourth-down conversion attempts and posted six quarterback sacks (-38).

Cesca, a sophomore from Manhattan Beach, Calif., was a perfect four-for-four on field goal attempts in Oregon State's 33-9 win at Arizona. Cesca connected from 23, 44, 31 and 30 yards and also was perfect on three PAT attempts to run his career string to 78 straight PATs made without a miss. He also reached the end zone on all but one of his kickoffs. Cesca earned special teams player of the week for the second time this season.
