UCLA Men's Basketball Hosts EA Sports/CA SW All-Stars Wednesday Night

Steve Lavin's UCLA men's basketball team returns to Pauley Pavilion onWednesday (Nov. 15) for the first of three consecutive home games, hosting EASports/California Southwest All-Stars in an exhibition contest. Tipoff is setfor 7:30 p.m.
This will be the Bruins' final exhibition game of the season. On Nov. 1 inPauley, UCLA defeated Team Concept 118-64, behind senior guard Earl Watson's 21points and 11 assists, in UCLA's first exhibition game of the year.
EA Sports/CA SW All-Stars are 5-6 overall, winning at CS Northridge onMonday night, 80-78. EA Sports started their fall tour with a 4-1 record, losingonly at Oklahoma, but had lost five in a row before Monday night's win atNorthridge. Former Bruin standout Kris Johnson, a UCLA letterman from 1995-98,has led the All-Stars, with highlight games of 37 points in a win at NorthernArizona and 27 points in EA Sports wins at Arizona State and Utah. The EASports/CA SW All-Stars play at UC Santa Barbara Tuesday night.
Between exhibitions, the Bruins last week traveled to New York City and playedin the Coaches vs. Cancer IKON Classic in Madison Square Garden. UCLA placedthird in the Classic, losing to Kansas, 99-98 on Nov. 9 and beating Kentucky97-92 in overtime on Friday for third-place. Watson earned All-Classic honors,averaging 20.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 8.5 assists, 1.0 steals and just 1.5turnovers for the two games.
After Wednesday's exhibition contest, the Bruins will open the home regularseason in Pauley Pavilion, hosting CS Northridge on Tuesday, Nov. 21 (7:30 p.m.)and UC Santa Barbara on Wednesday, Nov. 29 (7:30 p.m.).
