Women's Tennis Signs Two Players To National Letters Of Intent

STANFORD, Calif. - Erin Burdette and Story Tweedie-Yates have signed national letters of intent to compete and study at Stanford University, announced head women's tennis coach Lele Forood Tuesday.
Burdette, from Ojai, CA, currently attends Weil College Prep and is ranked No. 10 in the Girls U-18 National Singles Rankings. She was the 2000 Easter Bowl doubles winner with current Stanford freshman Lauren Barnikow. Burdette and Barnikow also reached the finals of the 2000 Australian Junior Open. In singles play, Burdette was the winner of a USTA Satellite event in El Paso, TX.
Tweedie-Yates is from Redmond, WA, where she attends The Overlake School. She was ranked No. 11 in the September 2000 Girls U-18 National Rankings. Tweedie-Yates was a fifth-place finisher at the Girls U-18 National Clay Court Championships, and also finished sixth in the National Hard Court Championships.
