WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Arizona sophomore forward Luke Walton has been named the Pacific-10 Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 27-Dec. 3 , Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

Walton, from San Diego, Calif., averaged 13.3 points, 10.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 4.5 steals last week as the Wildcats won a pair of home games over Gonzaga and Saint Mary's.

Walton collected 10 points and nine rebounds to go with six assists, three steals and a blocked shot against Gonzaga. He posted the second double-double of his career with 16 points and 11 rebounds against Saint Mary's, while adding five assists and six steals. For the week, he played 52 minutes and committed just one turnover.

It is the first weekly award for Walton, the 50th all-time honor for the Wildcats.
