San Diego State Edges ASU, 64-62

SAN DIEGO (AP) - Deandre Moore hit an off-balance 5-foot shot with 2.1seconds left, lifting San Diego State to a 64-62 victory over Arizona StateSaturday night.
Moore's shot was overshadowed when it appeared Arizona State's Awvee Storeyhit a game-winner from inside the halfcourt line at the buzzer.
After a wild celebration, the Sundevils ran off court, but after reviewingTV replays, the referees ruled Storey released the shot after the final horn.
Arizona State coach Rob Evans was restrained by his assistants as heattempted to charge after referees.
San Diego State (5-3) matched their win total from last season, its firstunder Steve Fisher, when it finished 5-23. The Aztecs also beat a Pac-10 teamfor just the second time in the last 13 games.
Arizona State (5-2) had its five-game win streak snapped as it played itsfirst game in two weeks.
Moore's game-winner came after Storey hit one of two free throws with 23.8seconds left to tie the score at 62. Moore drove down the lane and was fallingbackward as he hit the shot.
Randy Holcomb, who scored seven straight points in the final 3:05, led theAztecs with 22 points. Myron Epps added 13 points for San Diego State, whichwon despite making just 11-of-22 free throws.
Storey, limited to seven minutes in the first half due to foul trouble, ledArizona State with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Storey finished 9-for-12 from thefield and scored 18 second-half points.
