Ducks Down S. Carolina St., 82-60

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) - Bryan Bracey had 22 points and Anthony Norwood added 16as Oregon beat South Carolina State 82-60 Tuesday night.

Fredrick Jones scored 15 points and Julius Hicks had 11 and seven reboundsfor the Ducks (8-1).

Greg Gray scored 17 points to lead the Bulldogs (4-7), who shot just 36.4percent from the field and 18.8 percent on 3-point attempts.

The Ducks were never threatened after jumping to a 14-2 lead in the first5:30 minutes. Oregon led 37-15 late in the first half and 50-27 early in thesecond before the Bulldogs went on a 12-2 run to cut the lead to 13.

But Oregon came back with an 18-4 run to take command at 70-43 before theDucks cleared their bench.

Oregon hit 22 of 28 free throws and had a season-low 10 turnovers to go witheight steals.

The Ducks conclude their non-league schedule at Louisville on Saturday. Theyopen Pac-10 conference play on Jan. 6 against Oregon State.
