Jenny Mowe To Participate In Live Pac-10 Weekly Chat

EUGENE, Ore. - On Wednesday, January 10 at 12:30 p.m. PT, Oregon senior center Jenny Mowe will stop by to participate in the weekly Pac-10 women's basketball chat. Each Wednesday during conference play, a Pac-10 women'sbasketball player will drop in for a special chat and take questions on the conferencerace, women's hoops and the college basketball scene.
Mowe, from Powers, Ore., is the starting center for the 24th-ranked Ducks, the back-to-backdefending Pac-10 Champions. She played in her 100th career game Dec. 9 at Texas andcurrently leads the team in rebounding (5.8 rpg) and is third in scoring (9.6 ppg). Her.612 field goal mark paces the Pac-10 and is just shy of the Oregon single-season record of.614, set in 1980-81. Mowe is fourth in the Pac-10 in blocked shots, averaging 1.22 denialsper contest. She has posted two double-doubles on the season, bringing her career total toseven. Mowe scored a season-high 17 points and grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds to leadOregon to an 80-61 win over UC Santa Barbara Dec. 22, as the Ducks snapped a three-gamelosing streak. Mowe, who scored 14 in the second half, put Oregon up 56-38 with 13 minutesremaining. She finished 7-of-12 from the field, and pulled down seven offensive boards injust 23 minutes. Oregon's Gatorade Player of the Year in 1996, Mowe starred at Powers HighSchool. She is majoring in History.
