KMPC-AM To Broadcast USC Women's Basketball

Los Angeles, Calif. -- KMPC-AM 1540 radio station will broadcast five USC women's basketball games during the 2001 season.

The first game broadcast will be this Sunday, Jan. 14, when USC faces UCLA at Pauley Pavilion. The game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.

Regional television sports announcer Jim Watson will handle the play-by-play, while former pro beach volleyball and college hoops star Mike Dodd will serve as the color analyst.

'It's a great opportunity to be able to give our women's basketball team the type of exposure it deserves to our widespread fan base in Southern California,' said USC associate athletic director Mark Ryan. 'We appreciate KMPC's partnership in allowing us to broadcast these games.'

The broadcast schedule is as follows:

Jan. 14 - at UCLA - 1 p.m.
Jan. 20 - vs. Arizona State - 7 p.m.
Feb. 4 - vs. Stanford - 3 p.m.
Feb. 10 - vs. UCLA - 2 p.m.
March 10 - vs. Washington State - 1 p.m.
