ASU Women's Tennis Wraps Up Action At Pac-10 Indoor Tournament

TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizona State's Jennifer Baker, Celena McCoury, and Adria Engel wrapped up action on the final day of this year's Pac-10 Indoor Tennis Tournament, hosted by the University of Washington at the Lloyd Nordstrom Tennis Center.
After knocking off No. 21-ranked Keiko Tokuda from Stanford in quarterfinal action and Washington State's Erica Perkins in the semifinals, Engel fell in the No. 1 flight finals to Laura Granville of Stanford, 6-1, 6-4. Also playing for the Devils this weekend in the No. 2 flight, McCoury defeated Washington State's Zorana Rogonovic in the consolation quarterfinals on Saturday, 6-0, 6-1, but lost to Sophie Regnier of Arizona today in the consolation semifinals, 6-0, 6-1. During the tournament, Baker defeated California's Nicole Havlicek, but fell in the No. 3 flight singles quarterfinals to Stanford's Amelia Anderson, 6-1, 6-4.
In doubles action on Saturday afternoon, Baker and McCoury teamed up against Laura Granville and Gabriela Lastra in the first round of the No. 1 flight, but unfortunately fell to the Stanford duo, 8-5.
ASU will host visiting University of San Diego this Saturday at 12 p.m. (MST) in Tempe at the Whiteman Tennis Center.
