Craighead Selected Pac-10 Player of the Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Oregon junior guard Jamie Craighead (Elma, Wash.) earned Pac-10 Player of the Week honors for Jan. 8-14, conference commissioner Tom Hansen announced Tuesday.
Craighead averaged 14.5 points, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals while leading the 20th-ranked Ducks to a home sweep of California and Stanford last week. She shot 76.9 percent (10 of 13) from the floor and 72.7 percent (8 of 11) from 3-point range.
Against California, Craighead hit 5 of 7 from the field, including 4 of 6 from 3-point territory, en route to an 86-56 win over the Golden Bears. She scored all of her 14 points in the first half, while dishing out four assists along with picking up one rebound and assist. Against 24th-ranked Stanford, she helped Oregon to its sixth straight win, a 72-54 victory over the Cardinal. She had a game-high 15 points, dropped in four 3-pointers and added four assists and one steal. Craighead leads the Pac-10 in 3-pointers made per game (2.8) and is second in 3-point percentage (.480).
The Player of the Week honor is the first of Craighead's career and the 26th all-time for Oregon.
