Husky Men's Tennis Shuts Out Boise State, 7-0

SEATTLE, Wash. -The 28th-ranked Washington Huskies defeated Boise State 7-0 to improve to 2-0 on the season, and to 10-3 in series competition against the Broncos. The Dawgs won out in singles competition and won the doubles point.
Senior Jeremy Berman, playing in his first singles action of the season, came out victorious over Rio Kuharski in three long sets, defeating him 6-4, 6-7, 6-4. Andy Posavac defeated Vodran Sirola easily in two sets, 6-1, 6-1. Sophomore Ari Strasberg, who is ranked 89th by the ITA, defeated Mahmoud Rezk 6-3, 6-2.
In doubles play, the No. 1 duo of Jeremy Berman and Andy Posavac came away with their second victory of the season, defeating Guillaume Bouvier/Rio Kuharski, 8-3. Dillon Ruby and Ari Strasberg came away victorious in a win over No. 2 Boise State duo Johnny Biorkman/Mahmoud Rezk 8-3. In the No. 3 spot, Andrej Bizjak and Matt Hanlin held on to defeat Vodran Sirola/Mark Roberts 8-6.
Washington will face conference opponents, No. 24 California and No. 1 Stanford in competition next Friday and Saturday, with both matches set to begin at 2:00 p.m. at the Nordstrom Tennis Center.
