Washington Edges Oregon State At The Buzzer, 69-67

SEATTLE (AP) - Megan Franza scored a season-high 28 points and her pull-upjumper from the free-throw line with 4.5 seconds remaining lifted Washington toa 69-67 victory over Oregon State on Saturday.
The Beavers had one final chance to win, but Leilani Estavan's desperationshot from 35 feet was far off the mark as time expired.
Nicole Funn, Felicia Ragland and Hollye Holbrook each scored 12 points forOregon State (10-5, 2-3). Ragland notched her third double-double in her lastfour games by grabbing 10 rebounds.
Payne's driving layup tied the game at 67-67 with 46.3 seconds remaining.
Oregon State called timeout, then worked the ball inside to Holbrook, whoseoffensive foul in the post turned the ball over with 20.4 seconds remaining.
Washington quickly inbounded the ball and moved it downcourt to Franza, whopulled up at the free-throw line for the game-winner.
After a timeout, Oregon State inbounded to Estavan, who dribbled downcourtand heaved a 35-footer under pressure that didn't come close.
Washington shot just 34.3 percent from the field but made 8-of-25 from3-point range. Franza hit four 3-pointers, while Oregon State managed only two.
The leading rebounding team in the conference, Washington outrebounded theBeavers 36-34.
Oregon State opened the second half with a 27-12 run to take its biggestlead of the game. Ericka Cook's 3-point play with 9:24 remaining in the gamecapped the run and gave the Beavers a 57-47 lead.
Franza and Payne scored six points apiece as Washington erased the deficitwith a 16-6 run. Payne's 3-pointer with 2:54 remaining tied the game at 63-63.
Two more ties and two lead changes followed before Franza hit her decisivepull-up jumper.
The Huskies led 35-30 at halftime and are 10-0 this season when leading atthe half.
