Amanda Levens to Participate in Pac-10 Conference Online Chat at 4 p.m. Wednesday

TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizona State junior guard Amanda Levens will participate in an online chat Wednesday, Jan. 31 at 4 p.m. MST. The chat will be featured on the Pac-10 Conference's official website, www.pac-10.org.
Levens, a native of Belvidere, Ill., who transferred to ASU from Old Dominion, leads the Sun Devils and is fifth in the Pac-10 in scoring at 14.4 points per game. Last week's Pac-10 Player of the Week, Levens also ranks second in the conference in free throw percentage (.832), fourth in three-point field goal percentage (.392) and seventh in three-point field goals made per game (1.63).
Arizona State, 13-6 overall and tied for first in the Pac-10 with a 5-2 conference mark, returns to action this weekend, hosting Oregon State on Thursday, Feb. 1 and Oregon on Saturday, Feb. 3. MORE ON LEVENSIn her first season with the Sun Devils after sitting out last season as a Division I transfer, Levens has paced the Sun Devil squad in scoring all season. She has been named an all-tournament selections in each of the Sun Devils' tournament appearances this year (Asahi Rainbow Wahine Classic and ASU Holiday Classic). The 5-9 junior has notched double figures in scoring in all but three games this year, including a career-best 28 points vs. Stephen F. Austin and 21 points vs. then No. 2 Tennessee. Levens has drained 31 three-pointers on the season, which ranks 10th on the Arizona State single-season charts including a perfect 4-of-4 performance from beyond the arc vs. Washington State on Jan. 13. She has knocked down 83.2 percent of her free throws and has attempted twice as many free throws as the league leader. While at Old Dominion, Levens was part of two NCAA Sweet Sixteen appearances and two Colonial Athletic Association championships. As a sophomore at Old Dominion, she started 23 of 32 games, averaging 6.7 points and 21.0 minutes per game as a point guard.
