Men's Swimming Falls to No. 2 Stanford

The No. 8 USC men's swim team fell to No. 2 Stanford, 159-82, in a dual-meet loss on Friday (Feb. 2), at the Avery Aquatic Center in Palo Alto. The Trojans fell to 3-12, 1-2 in the Pac-10 while the Cardinal improved to 7-0, 3-0.

USC sophomore Erik Vendt won the 1000 free in a time of 9:01.96 while junior teammate Tamas Kerekjarto won the 200 IM in a season's best 1:47.68. Trojan freshman Klete Keller won the 500 free (4:24.20). Keller also took second in the 200 free (1:36.27)

Stanford Freshman Michael Bruce set a new pool record in the 200 breastroke with his winning time of 1:57.55.

USC wraps up its Bay Area swing by facing No. 7 California in Berkeley on Saturday.
