Feb. 5, 2001

BERKELEY - Following a successful season-opening tournament in Tucson, Ariz., the Cal men's golf team just missed making the Top 25 in the latest Golfweek/Sagarin performance index. The Bears are currently ranked 26th after the team's second-place finish at the PING-Arizona Intercollegiate Jan. 29-30.

The rankings are based on a combined team scoring average.

Cal's Peter Tomasulo is also ranked 69th in the individual ratings following his fifth-place finish in Tucson.

The Bears next travel to Hawaii Feb. 21-23 to compete in the John Burns Invitational.
