Men's Tennis Bounces Back To Defeat San Diego State, 6-1

TULSA, Okla. - The 21st-ranked Washington men's tennis team came back to defeat No. 35 San Diego State in the second day of play at the Tulsa Invitational. Washington secured the doubles point and notched five singles wins to get the victory over the Aztecs, who ended Washington's season in last year's NCAA tournament.
The Huskies won the doubles point for the first time in three matches. Husky duo Dillon Ruby and Ari Strasberg easily defeated Pest/Hiatt 8-2. Playing in the No. 3 position, Matt Hanlin teamed with freshman Michael Rubin to take the victory over Bere/Naffa, 8-1. In singles play, the Huskies took care of the Aztecs, earning victories from Hanlin, Andy Posavac, Jeremy Berman, Strasberg, and Marius Lunde.
Washington will face No. 12 Pepperdine (5-0) in the Husky Invitational on Sunday, February 11th at 3 p.m. in the Nordstrom Tennis Center. Also competing in the tournament will be No. 7 TCU and No. 21 Arizona State.
