Women's Basketball Tops Oregon St., 72-60

BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) - Kenya Corley scored 21 of her team-high 23 points inthe second half leading California to a 72-60 Pac-10 Conference comeback winover Oregon State on Thursday night.
Corley led a 14-2 run starting the second half after the Beavers (11-9, 3-7)jumped to a 36-24 halftime edge. Corley, whose career high is 25, scored 12 ofthe 14 in the run, including three 3-pointers.
California (9-11, 5-5) won its third straight - the first time in Pac-10play since 1992 - by outscoring the Beavers 48-24 in the second half.
Oregon State's Felicia Ragland had a career high 30 but she was only11-of-28 from the field. California defeated the Beavers 79-72 in Corvallis onJan. 13.
Nicole Funn added 11 for OSU, which made just 20-of-65 shots, including7-for-37 in the second half. Genevieve Swedore scored 13 for the Bears, whowere 23-of-49 from the field and 21-for-30 from the line.
Ragland had 19 by halftime as the Beavers jumped to the big lead. Five ofher seven baskets were 3-pointers and OSU was 7-of-10 on 3-point attempts.
Ragland scored 13 straight points, leading her team to a 18-14 lead. TheBeavers held a 18-2 edge on the boards to that point, but hurt themselves with10 early turnovers.
Cal got back into it early in the second half with a 14-2 run led by Corley,who scored 12 - nine coming via three 3-pointers. A jumper by Corley tied thegame at 49-49, before Ragland answered with another 3-pointer.
The Bears took their first lead 53-52 on two free throws by Corley with 8:48remaining. They would never trail again.
