Berkeley, CA - The Washington women's gymnastics team placed second in a three-way meet at California with a score of 192.175. The Golden Bears, ranked 24th in the nation, won the meet with a score of 194.000, overcoming the Huskies in the final rotation. UC Davis was third with a score of 188.525.

California's victory ended an 11-meet win streak the Huskies had over the Bears. Washington had outscored California in a multi-team event at Denver to start the 2001 season.
The Huskies won't take much time off before competing again. Washington travels to top-ranked UCLA on Sunday for a 2 p.m. meet.
