Baseball Gets No. 1 Ranking In Latest ESPN/USA Today Baseball Weekly Poll

LOS ANGELES -- The USC baseball team was ranked No. 1 in the latest ESPN/USA Today Baseball Weekly poll, released today. The Trojans (6-1), who were ranked No. 2 in the preseason poll, jumped ahead of Georgia Tech with a win over Cal State Fullerton and series win against Long Beach State.

USC will travel to Pepperdine on Tuesday (Feb. 13) at 2 p.m., weather permitting. The Trojans will then meet UCLA for a non-conference series beginning on Friday (Feb. 16) at 5 p.m. Mark Prior is scheduled to start for the Trojans while the Bruins will counter with Josh Karp in a matchup of two of the nation's top pitchers.
