OSU's Felicia Ragland To Particpate In Weekly Pac-10 Chat

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Oregon State University women's basketball guard Felicia Ragland will participate in the 'Weekly Pac-10 Women's Hoops Chat' Wednesday (Feb. 14) at 1 p.m.

Ragland, a native of Tulare, CA, leads the Beavers in several statistical categories including points (409), scoring average (19.5), rebounds (151), rebounding average (7.2), field goals made (148), 3-point field goals made (46) and steals (57).

The 5-9 junior has led Oregon State in scoring or rebounding in 15 games this season. Ragland has recorded six double-doubles on the season and has scored in double figures in 19 of 21 games while breaking the 20-plus point barrier in eight of 11 Pac-10 games. She scored a career-high 30 points against California last Thursday on 11-of-28 shooting and a 6-of-12 clip from 3-point range. At Stanford last Saturday Ragland hit 7-of-16 field goals, 6-of-8 3-pointers and 6-of-6 free throws to finish with a game-high 26 points. Her six 3-point baskets against Cal and Stanford, tied the OSU record for most treys in a single game.

Ragland has started 77 consecutive games and is currently third in the Beavers record book for 3-point baskets made (92). This season she is 46-of-97 (.474) from beyond the arc.

Ragland ranks in the top-5 in six Pac-10 statistical categories. She is the conference's most prolific scorer in Pac-10 games, with a 22.2 scoring average, and ranks second overall with 19.5 points per game. The Pac-10 Player of the Year candidate ranks second in 3-point field goal percentage (.474), second in 3-point field goals made (2.19), third in steals (2.71), third in defensive rebounding (4.81) and fourth in overall rebounding (7.2 rpg).

Ragland and the Beavers return to action on Thursday when Oregon State hosts Pac-10 Conference leader, University of Washington. Game-time is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
