Beavers Defeat Washington, 83-69

SEATTLE (AP) - Oregon State's Jason Heide scored 16 points to lead theBeavers to an 83-69 victory over the Washington Huskies Thursday night.
Heide, the Beavers' leading scorer with a 13.3-point average, hit six ofnine from the field and all four free throw attempts.
While Heide did the work inside, Adam Masten made the Huskies pay from theoutside.
Masten, who scored 15, has been on a roll. He hit four of six from thefield, including three of five from 3-point range. Over the last five games,Masten has made 13 of 20 attempts from long distance.
Oregon State (9-15, 3-9 Pac-10) snapped a six-game losing streak, a skidthat began after the Beavers topped Washington 63-56 on Jan.`20`at GillColiseum in Corvallis, Ore. The Beavers have beaten the Huskies in their lastfour meetings.
Washington (9-15, 3-9 Pac-10) entered the game with the Pac-10's top defenseagainst the 3-point shot but the Beavers attacked from the outside from thestart. Oregon State made seven of 12 3-pointers in the first half, but missedon all five in the second half.
Will Perkins was Washington's top scorer with 16. Curtis Allen came off thebench to score 14. Thalo Green and David Dixon added 12 and 10.
The Beavers shot a torrid 61.5 percent in the first half, and led 47-34 athalftime.
