Curtis Williams Discharged from Medical Center
Feb. 15, 2001
Seattle - Former Washington safety Curtis Williams was discharged from the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose today. Williams has relocated to Fresno, Calif. to move into the residence of his older brother, David, and David's wife, Chris.
'Curtis is pretty excited and happy to get home,' said his brother David.
A senior defensive back at Washington last season, Williams suffered a severe spinal cord injury during the Huskies' October 28 football game at Stanford that left him paralyzed below the neck. Williams was admitted to the Stanford University Medical Center following the injury and has undergone rehabilitation therapy at the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center since mid-November.
