Huskies Golfers in 20th Place at Taylor Made/Waikoloa Tourney

Waikoloa, HI - Playing in windy conditions, including wind gusts of over 30 miles per hour, the Washington men's golf team was in 20th place after the first day of play at the Taylor Made/Waikoloa Intercollegiate Tournament at the Waikoloa Kings and Beach Golf Courses in Waikoloa, Hawaii. The Huskies shot an opening day score of 336 to post a 48-over par score. Texas leads the 24-team field with a score of 302, 22 strokes over par.
Washington sophomore Conner Robbins led the Huskies with a 9-over par round of 81. Husky freshman Brock Mackenzie shot an opening round 82. Texas' Matt Dobyns lead the field after turning in a even-par score of 70.
