EUGENE, Ore. -
The University of Oregon men's tennis team recorded its second win of the weekend, disposing of No. 64 University of the Pacific, 5-2, at the Student Tennis Center on Sunday.
Oregon made a fast start, sweeping each of its doubles matches.
In singles play, Oded Teig notched a convincing 6-3, 6-3 victory over Pacific's Dietrich Haug, while Martin Pawlowski defeated Alexander Fiedler 7-5, 6-2. Freshman Buck Mink earned a 6-2, 7-6 win over Claes Lindholm, and Greg Dubourdieu beat Maxime Lacroix in three sets, 7-6, 4-6, 6-2.
Sunday's win marks the third straight for the Ducks, who move to 4-5 on the season (0-2 Pac-10).
'With a young team, you hope to stay with it,' said head coach Chris Russell. 'And they actually picked it up a notch. They did an even better job, and it was really good to see. This is the kind of weekend we needed to have.'
