Cougs Host In Lewiston

THIS WEEK: The Cougars will host their first home duals against the University of Hawaii, the University of Utah and Boise State University, Feb. 22,23,24 respectively. The duals will be held in the Lewis Clark State College Tennis Center in Lewiston, Idaho.
SCOUTING THE RAINBOWS: Although the Rainbows are not currently ranked, they have a 3-2 record overall this season, including a 4-1 posting from Nina Wegner at the No. 1 position.
SCOUTING THE UTES: The Utah Utes are currently on a four match-losing streak, and the Cougars are looking to make it five. The Utes are currently 1-4 overall.
SCOUTING THE BRONCOS: The Broncos are currently 7-2 overall, including a 15-4 overall posting by the No. 34 ranked duo of Renate Stoop and Helen Lawson.
COACH GROCE ON THIS WEEKEND: 'We will have three tough matches this weekend. All three of these schools have good programs. We do not have any room in our schedule for padding, so even though these schools are not ranked, they have to have good programs to make in onto our schedule.'
LAST WEEK: The Cougars had a week off to enjoy their first victory of the spring season, not losing site of the weekend to come. The Cougs are well rested and ready for competition.
COUGARS IN THE RANKINGS: WSU maintained its No 54 ranking. Junior Erica Perkins, the only Cougar to be individually ranked, is currently No. 29 in the latest Wingspan Bank.com rankings.
McKENNA's BACK: Freshman Stacy McKenna suffered an ankle sprain while training in the weight room before the Las Vegas trip. McKenna was unable to make the trip due to the injury. She has been training with the team and is expected to compete in Lewiston.
