Stanford Men's Golf Finishes Fifth At John Burns Intercollegiate

The Stanford men's golf team shot a three-day total of 850 to finish fifth at the John Burns Intercollegiate at the Leleihua Golf Course to finish fifth overall. New Mexico took the team title with a 32-under-par 832, followed by Auburn (837). Rounding out the top five were UNLV (843) and Arizona (845).

Individually, Stanford's Jimmy Lee tied for fourth carding rounds of 67-71-68 for a 10-under-par 206. Cardinal Philip Rowe tied for seventh shooting an eight-under-par 208 (68-69-71) while teammate Alex Aragon tied for 23rd with a two-under-par 214 (66-71-77). Sophomore Jim Seki tied for 64th (74-74-75--223) and sophomore Ron Won tied for 86th (75-78-76).

New Mexico's Michael Letzig took top honors in the field, shooting a 17-under-par 199 for the tournament.

Stanford is next in action at the Matlock Collegiate Classic, March 5-6 in Lakeland, Florida at the Grasslands Golf and Country Club.
