Washington Men's Tennis Takes Down UC Santa Barbara

EUGENE, Ore. - The 6th-ranked Washington men's tennis team defeated UC Santa Barbara, 7-0 in action this afternoon. The Huskies earned six singles victories and notched the doubles point.
The Huskies were dominant as five players won in two sets. Sophomore Matt Hanlin, playing in the No. 1 position, had little trouble with his opponent, Marcin Kosakowski, defeating him in two sets, (6-3, 6-1). Andrej Bizjak took care of John Stewart, defeating him (6-0, 6-0). The Huskies also earned victories from Andy Posavac, Jeremy Berman, Ari Strasberg, and Marius Lunde.
'From the top to the bottom, the guys played very well,' said head coach Matt Anger. 'They were able to recover from the long weekend and I look forward for them to do the same thing against Oregon on Sunday.'
Washington will face No. 68 Oregon in action tomorrow at 2 p.m. in Eugene, Ore.
