Men's Golf Returns From Hawaii Tournament

BERKELEY -- The Cal men's golf team got off to a slow start in the first round of the John A. Burns Intercollegiate last week and couldn't catch up.

The Bears placed 15th in the tournament with freshman Peter Tomasulo and sophomore J.R. Ruda tying for Cal's top individual finish (36th).

New Mexico won the tournament with a 54-hole score of 832 (-32). Cal strung together scores of 294, 290 and 292 to post a three-round score of 876 (+12)

Cal next travels to Southern California on March 5-6 to compete in the Southwestern Intercollegiate at North Ranch Country Club. The tournament will be hosted by USC.
