WEEKEND PREVIEW

The Ducks will resume non-conference play this weekend at the Student Tennis Center, against Portland and Santa Clara. Both the Broncos (5-2) and the Pilots (2-2) head to Eugene with winning streaks, while Oregon broke a four-win streak with a loss at the hands of No. 6 Washington last Sunday. Santa Clara has won five straight and Portland the last two.

THE LAST TIME

The Ducks served Portland a 7-0 loss, February 9, 2000 and also took Santa Clara 5-2 at the UC Santa Barbara Gaucho Classic, March 26, 1999.

LAST WEEK'S ACTION

Oregon went 1-1, taking the Gauchos of Santa Barbara, 6-1, but suffered a 6-1 loss to the Huskies. The Oregon No. 2 and No. 3 doubles teams of sophomore Buck Mink and sophomore Jason Menke, and sophomore Oded Teig and Chris King have earned three straight doubles victories, most notably versus No. 6 Washington.

DOUBLES BOUT

Both Portland and Oregon's No. 2 and No. 3 doubles routed No. 6 Washington's duos in respective match play, but both fell to the Huskies 6-1.
