Bruins fall to No. 12 USC, 5-2

Los Angeles -- The No. 22 UCLA women's tennis team fell to cross-town rival No. 12 USC, 5-2 Saturday in a dual match at UCLA's Los Angeles Tennis Center. With the loss, UCLA falls to 3-7 on the season, while USC improves to 9-3. The match did not count in the Pac-10 standings and the Bruins remain 2-0 in conference play.

UCLA earned victories at No. 1 doubles and Nos. 2 and 4 singles. Both Petya Marinova and Mariko Fritz-Krockow notched singles victories for UCLA.

The Bruins return to action next weekend as they host Miami on Saturday at the LATC beginning at 2:30 p.m. and No. 6 Texas on Sunday at Noon.
