Men's Diving Results from the Zone E Diving Championships

After the first day of the 2001 Zone E Diving Championships the men's one meter and the women's three meter events have been completed. There are 19 schools participating in the two-day event, and a total of 58 athletes. The competitiom is being held at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center.
On the men's one meter event Arizona's Omar Ojeda took first place scoring 358.60 points. In second place was Hawaii's Mike Gowdy with 333.15 points. Justin Wilcock of Brigham Young University captured third place with a point total of 332.95.
For the Cardinal, sophomore Gavin Olmstead placed 10th in the one-meter event.

The competition will resume tomorrow at 11 a.m. PST with the men's three meter and the women's one meter. Platform diving will begin at 4 p.m. PST to close out the meet.
