Los Angeles -- Despite the return of Bruin No. 1 Sara Walker, the UCLA women's tennis team (3-8) dropped a tough, 4-3 decision to the University of Miami at the Los Angeles Tennis Center on Saturday.

Walker, who has missed the last month due to injury, made her return to the singles lineup Saturday, defeating Miami's Alanna Broderick, 6-2, 6-3 at No. 1 singles. Walker is ranked No. 14 in the latest ITA singles rankings.

Both Catherine Hawley and Petya Marinova also picked up singles victories for UCLA.

In doubles, the Bruin tandem of Lauren Fisher and Marinova, ranked No. 16 in the country, defeated Miami's Katia Bogomolova and Broderick, 8-6 at No. 1 doubles.

The Bruins return to action tomorrow as they host No. 5 Texas at the Los Angeles Tennis Center beginning at Noon.
