Women's Golf Hosts Free Youth Clinic March 30

BERKELEY - The California women's golf team will host a free clinic on Fri., March 30, to promote the 'Get a Girl Golfing' national movement. This fun introduction to the game of golf runs from 3:40 p.m.-5:30 p.m. at Tilden Park Golf Course in Berkeley.

Interested girls ages 8-17 should contact Cal head coach Nancy McDaniel at 510-643-7940. No experience is necessary. Registration is limited to the first 50 girls that sign up.

Participants are asked to bring golf clubs if they own them, but they are not required.

Members of the Cal women's golf team, along with McDaniel, will offer instruction in chipping, putting and full shots.

The Bears are coming off a fourth-place finish against a nationally-ranked field at the Bruin Pioneer Classic, March 12-13. They return to action at the PING/ASU Invitational April 6-8 in Tempe, Ariz.
