Cal Men's Swimming in Seventh after 14 Events at NCAA Meet

COLLEGE STATION, TX - The No. 6 ranked California men's swim team is in seventh place with 117 points after 14 events (minus 800 free relay and three-meter diving) in the second day of the 2001 NCAA Championship at the Rec Natatorium in College State, TX.

Second day results for the Bears include the 200 medley relay team of junior Matt Macedo, junior Peter Aronsson, freshman Alex Lim, sophomore Anthony Ervin placing sixth with a time of 1:27.21. Cal actually established a new school record in the 200 medley relay in the prelims with a time of 1:27.04.

Individually, sophomore Joe Bruckart finished 10th in the 200 free (1:36.37) and Aronsson was 13th in the 100 breast (54.64).
