Junior Traci Feldt Named Pac-10 Conference Softball Player Of The Week

WALNUT CREEK, CA - Oregon State University's Traci Feldt was named Pac-10 Conference Softball Player of the Week for Mar. 19 - Mar. 25, announced Commissioner Tom Hansen on Monday.
Feldt, a junior from Vancouver, WA, helped lead the Beavers to their first tournament championship of the season at the New Mexico State Tournament last weekend. In Oregon State's six games, Feldt went 8-for-17 from the plate for a .471 batting average. The catcher scored four runs and had a team-high eight RBI to go along with a .706 slugging percentage.
In Last Friday's (Mar. 23) tournament opening win against Texas-San Antonio, Feldt belted her first career home run and added four RBI.
For her efforts on the week, Feldt went on to be named to the New Mexico State All-Tournament squad.
Feldt is hitting .301 on the season and leads the Beavers in sacrifices with eight.The Pac-10 Player of the Week honor is the first of Feldt's career and Oregon State's 15th Player of the Week award winner of all-time.
The No. 15 ranked Beavers will play a double-header at Sacramento State on Tuesday, starting at 1 p.m., before meeting University of the Pacific on Wednesday.
OSU will open Pac-10 play at home this weekend with three games at Wallace Marine Sports Park in West Salem.
