Stanford-UCLA Baseball Game Scheduled For Friday, April 6 Postponed Due To Rain

Stanford, Calif. - The NCAA collegiate baseball game scheduled between top-ranked Stanford and UCLA at Sunken Diamond for Friday, April 6, has been postponed due to rain. The three-game Pac-10 series between the Cardinal and the Bruins at Sunken Diamond has been rescheduled for a doubleheader on Saturday, April 7 and a single game on Sunday, April 8. Action both days is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
Stanford (25-6, 5-1 Pac-10) will begin the series in first-place in the Pac-10. The Cardinal has won 11 of its last 12 games and 23 of 26 overall. UCLA (20-9, 3-3 Pac-10) currently sits tied for fourth-place in the Pac-10. The Bruins have won three in a row and seven of nine overall.
Stanford has won 15 straight regular-season series and eight consecutive Pac-10 series dating back to over a year ago. The Cardinal has also beaten UCLA in four straight series dating back to 1997. Last year, Stanford won two-of-three games at Sunken Diamond in the final regular season series of the year for both teams to gain a share of the Pac-10 championship with UCLA and Arizona State.
