Stephanie Keever Takes Top Honors At PING/ASU Invitational

Tempe, Arizona - The Stanford women's golf team moved up four spots on the final day of competition at the PING/ASU Invitational to finish in a tie for fourth with Arizona. Stanford shot a three-day total of 896. Southern California won the invite with an 889. Rounding out the top five were Arizona State (893) and TCU (895).

Individually, Stanford senior Stephanie Keever shot a 69 in the final round to take top honors, carding a 216 for the tournament. It is Keever's second win of the season (tied for first at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invite).

Senior Hilary Homeyer shot a one-under par 71 today and finished tied for seventh (76-73-71--219) while sophomore Kim Rowton, competing as an individual tied for 15th after shooting a two-under par 70 in the final round (79-74-70--223). Freshman Angela Rho shot a par 72 today and tied for 38th (80-76-72--228). Fellow frosh Kim Kouwabunpat tied for 49th in the individual standings carding rounds of 77-78-77--232. Marcia Wallis placed 71st with a 242 for the invite (80-83-79).

The Cardinal have finished in the top five in their last five tournaments this season. Stanford is next in action April 13-14 hosting the Peg Barnard Collegiate at the Stanford Golf Course.
