Women's Golfers Finish 10th at ASU Tournament

The UCLA women's golf team finished 10th at the PING/ASU Invitational Sunday at the Karsten Golf Course in Tempe, AZ.
The Bruins posted a final round team score of 301 and compiled a 54-hole total of 913, two shots better than 11th place Oregon and four shots behind ninth place California. USC won the event with a three-round team total of 889, followed by Arizona State at 893 and TCU and 895.
True freshman Melissa Martin finished in a tie for 28th place to lead UCLA. She posted a final round of 75 for a 54-hole score of 226, 10-over par. UCLA Redshirt freshman Saki Uechi tied for 35th at 227 and junior Alicia Um tied for 44th at 230. Senior Laura Moffat tied for 47th at 231 and freshman Gina Umeck tied for 54th at 234 to complete UCLA's team scoring.
Stanford's Stephanie Keever posted a final round score of 69 and won individual honors by one shot over New Mexico State's Sasha Medina. Keever's 54-hole total of 216 was even par.
